Foto Sander Nieuwenhuys

I’m an Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Amsterdam, where I study how cognitive abilities — like rule learning, attention, and self-regulation — develop in infancy and childhood. My work combines computational modelling (hidden Markov models in particular), eye-tracking, and large-scale collaborative studies such as ManyBabies. Recent work includes the study of learning and teaching in higher education through educational datascience.
