I am an associate professor at the University of Amsterdam, Faculty of Social and Behavioral sciences, Department of Psychology, in the Developmental Psychology group. As of October 2015 I was appointed member of the board of the department with the main responsibility of leading the bachelor in psychology program

My research interests include 1) learning and (cognitive) development in adults, children, and infants, 2) the development, fitting, and application of hidden Markov models, 3) eye movements as a method to study cognition. I did some work in response time models. I have done experimental work in implicit sequence learning and category learning, both in children and adults. Check my papers to see some of the results or download my CV to get the full picture.
